Choices, Choices, Choices

When you sell or let a property, we know, and you know, choices exist. A quick search online reveals more than twenty estate agents in Cambridge, and a similar number of letting agents all promising to be the one.

So, how and who do you choose? What do you base your decision on? In depth analysis or is it more of a pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey approach — close your eyes, hope for the best and see where you land?

A better strategy might be to take the former approach. A more informed and calculated view if you like. Look at their Google reviews. Their marketing. Their results. Ask them how they can prove their success, not just talk about it. Then ask, what do they do that others don’t?

For the second year running, no single-office estate agent in Cambridge has sold more properties than Cooke Curtis & Co. At the time of writing, our sales are up 22% year on year, in a market where many agents are struggling to hold steady. And let’s be honest, this year hasn’t exactly been a walk in the park for us all. But while others have slowed down, we’ve rolled up our sleeves (literally and figuratively) and got on with helping more clients move.

So yes, you could choose the cheapest fee, the flashiest window display, or the agent who promises the earth. Or you could choose the one who quietly, consistently, and professionally gets the job done, with the highest local success rate to prove it.
