Christmas Tree Recycling
For the sixth year running, we’re very proud to be supporting the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity Christmas Tree Recycling Scheme, a brilliantly simple idea that turns old Christmas trees into vital funds for an incredible local cause. They are very definitely on the good list. Last year’s collection was the most successful yet: over 4,000 trees picked up by 160 volunteers (including our own team, hi-vis vests and all!), and more than £100,000 raised to support the hospice’s essential care services across Cambridgeshire. This year, it matters more than ever. With recent NHS funding cuts, community-led initiatives like this one play an increasingly important role in helping Arthur Rank continue to provide specialist end-of-life care and support for local families. So many have been touched by the great work. So once again, we’ll be sponsoring the scheme and rolling up our sleeves in January to help collect trees across the county, from Cottenham to Cambourne, Duxford to Waterbeach, and beyond. If you’d like to get involved, book your tree collection, or simply make a donation, visit the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity website. Together, we can make this year’s collection the biggest (and greenest) yet.
